Another market I recently discovered on Duotrope is
I have lots of rejections and some of the poems I am quite fond of and I’m not ready to give up on yet. I sent off 5 poems and 2 so far have been published.
I am uncomfortable promoting myself so please realize this is difficult for me to ask. If you could go to the website, rejectedmanuscripts.org, and look for the poems “Catfish Dreams” and “The Night Whisperer” by Barbara A Meier and read them and vote me either up or down I would appreciate it.
Thank you for taking the time!
From the editors from rejectedmanuscripts.org:
“Writers: Send your previously-rejected manuscript to us (see submission guidelines.) Perhaps you think the editor who rejected it was wrong and you’d like the opportunity to prove it in the court of public opinion, or maybe you cringed when you reread your story and think others might get some amusement out of it. On our website, readers can vote stories up or down depending on how great or how terrible they think they are. At the end of the year, we will publish an anthology featuring the most beloved works. If your piece is selected, you can expect a share of the profits!”
